TV and RADIO Personality - June 2007

Jono came to Guy Leech and his team to overhaul his current health and fitness status. Jono has spent most of his life overweight and is now worried at age 51 (and 125 kg) that he won’t be around to see his kids grow up. With a family history of Heart Disease, Jono knew he had to make some changes in his life... and acknowledged that he couldn’t do it on his own. So he called in the experts...

BEFORE STARTING PROGRAM:

  • 126 cm waist
  • 125 Kg
  • History of Heart Disease with Father and Father’s brother dying from Heart Disease at an early age
  • Has onset Type 2 Diabetes
  • Slight liver damage from alcohol
  • High Blood Pressure

4 WEEKS INTO THE GLWOF HEALTH, FITNESS AND LIFESTYLE CHANGE:

  • Waist has reduced to 122 cm
  • Has lost 9 Kg now at 116 Kg
  • Improved diet and no alcohol
  • Exercising 4 times a week for 40 mins
  • Aiming to increase heart rate to 140-150bpm during training sessions
  • Enjoying the exercise and change of lifestyle

16 WEEKS INTO THE GLWOF HEALTH, FITNESS AND LIFESTYLE CHANGE:

99.2kg In February 2008 Jono reached his goal of getting under the 100kg barrier.

94kg June 2008 Jono has now reached a great weight of 94kg. He has down this thru eating well & walking. Jono’s next goal is to get under 90kg photo.

NEXT STEPS:

Jono aims to get under 100kg by Christmas! His training will evolve in the coming months to include: Effort walking, intermittent intensity training and then into cross training and resistance training in the 3rd month. We encourage him to achieve these goals and know that he can do it!
